In the hamlet of Seceava in the Romanian countryside, we met Daniel Bilinciuc, who grows bell peppers and herbs, tomatoes and other vegetables. He doesn’t use fertilizers or pesticides. He wanted to tell us how he became an organic farmer.
We’re growing vegetables free of chemicals, with environmentally friendly technologies, so we can offer our neighbours and fellow villagers a quality product, free of any chemicals. I studied theology at the university. In school I learnt that we must do good by our fellow human beings. We think that producing good food is, in a way, the equivalent of that.
