Resilience Food Stories returns to Documentaria in Sicily

From October 29 to November 1, we will return to Noto, Sicily, for the 11th edition of Documentaria, the international documentary film festival at Teatro Tina di Lorenzo.

We are very happy to return to a festival that feels closely connected to the way we work and to the stories we want to tell.

Documentaria brings together documentary cinema, visual languages and stories rooted in territories, cultures and communities. The festival creates a meeting place for filmmakers, photographers, authors and audiences, where documentary becomes a way to exchange perspectives, raise awareness and open up conversations.

When we joined Documentaria previously, the conversation centred around food and everything that lies beyond the plate. Food as a way of understanding landscapes and communities, traditions and knowledge, agriculture and our relationship with nature.
Returning to Sicily feels particularly meaningful. It is a place where food, agriculture, culture and landscape are deeply intertwined — and where several encounters and stories have become part of Resilience Food Stories.
Documentaria describes itself as “a crossroads of glances between territories, cultures and communities.” It is precisely that exchange of perspectives that makes us look forward to returning to Noto — meeting filmmakers, storytellers and audiences, and continuing the conversation through photography, film and stories.
The full programme for the 2026 edition will be announced later.
