Good Food the Book by photographer Ruud Sies and Hanneke van Hintum Book Good Food
Good Food the Book

At the opening of the exhibition, the book Good Food A Journey Through the World of Resilience Agriculture is published
A hefty tome, with 544 pages in full colour. From a library of more than 120 stories and 15 hours of video material, a selection has been made of 60 stories and 200 photos, arranged into ten themed chapters that throw light on the diversity of sustainable agriculture. Ruud and Hanneke’s experiences and stories are presented in narrative form, enabling the reader to travel with them and engage in personal encounters.
The transcriptions of the farmers’ stories have been rewritten to become accessible and captivating narratives, making the book not just a visual document but a substantial, in-depth publication that takes the reader on a worldwide journey through sustainable agriculture.

Carolyn Steel on the book:

A remarkable and inspiring journey across the world to tell the stories of the eco-farmers, growers, cultivators, community-builders and thinkers who are showing how, by valuing food and putting it back at the heart of our thoughts and actions, we can rebuild soil fertility, society, economies and ecosystems to restore the balance of our relationship with nature and so change the world for the better. This is a collective story of vision, wisdom, fortitude and resilience, but above all, it is one of love.
